Summer has been a blast. We have had the privilege of having people here from all over
the country. It's interesting about
people who are into knitting, crocheting, quilting or just crafting - they always seem to be happy and agreeable. We
love it when someone walks in and says, "Can I just look around. I love color and I want to see what you have made.
I can't buy anything today because my husband and kids are waiting for me in the car but I needed a yarn store fix." We have the pleasure of meeting
some of the nicest people in the world. There isn't another store in a 100 mile radius that can compare to Pine
Needles. It has taken us almost 5 years to put this wonderful space together and the comments by tourists and those
who live here brighten our days and help us to know that our labor hasn't been in vain. We are open year round....shorter
hours in the fall and winter but we are here. So far we have been busier than ever. We did some renovations in the spring
and it accomplished what we wanted. It opened up the store and the addition of shelves enabled us to display more yarn. The store is organized according to fiber - i.e. cottons, blends, all wool, alpaca, baby yarn,
sock yarn, and silks. The customer finds it easy to find what they want. We have a lot of shelf space for books
and patterns and the shelves are full. As you walk in the front door there are two wing back chairs with a lamp and magazines to keep the
husband engaged while you shop. I'm so rewarded to be in this brightly lit store with all of the color, textures, and soft music
playing in the background. It's a place of peace and respite! Come join us.
