This page contains pictures of projects that are currently in the store as samples. These have been made by friends of Pine Needles and by Joan, the owner. We will update this page by the season, with a description of the project and where you can obtain the patterns.

Anne Parker created this lovely pillow from Berroco's Origami

A class will be offered during the week of the American Birkie in pillow making. Anne Parker has created a book which describes how to choose the backing, filling, putting in zippers, etc.

On the same day that Anne is here, David Grote, a raiser of Icelandic sheep will be here demonstrating spinning, and have his beautiful wool for sale. Anne has used David's wool almost exclusively for her pillows.

Joan McGaver made these wonderful felted embellishments

Ruth Kenworthy is a dedicated knitter and chooses patterns that many would stay away from. It is hard to tell from the picture, but the sweater below is in a Berroco Vintage Wool brown and is a cable sweater. Ruth will always pick the patterns that are the most intricate, and the work is perfect every time, or she won't quit until it is. We have had several of Ruth's creations on display and they always sell yarn.

This darling baby sweater in pink acrylic was knitted by Noreen Doering from Pound of Love by Lion Brand. There is a lot you can do with 1020 yds in one package. You could get a sweater and a baby blanket! Noreen is one of our instructors and she's knit hundreds of hats for charity.

This sweater is a top down sweater from Knit Simple. Karen Wilson made this sweater from Kertzers Marble yarn called Berry. This pattern has become a favorite of many...no seams...yeah!

This warm casual sweater is a hit with the young women. Heidi Harbec is the creator of this sweater. Heidi heads up our Wednesday night knitting group. This pattern is from a magazine. Heidi knitted this hooded cardi with Berroco's Peruvia Quick. Pattern is available as is the yarn.

This poncho was made by Me (Joan) from Berroco's Worsted Comfort. I found the pattern on the internet from Tahki Stacy Charles from the Terra Collection. I did some changes to the pattern. The Comfort is great to knit with as it produces wonderful stitch definition.
