Welcome to Pine Needles
YOUR Northern Yarn Store!
Pine Needles is a fully filled yarn store. We have almost 2,000 square feet of space,
and our yarn is organized such that you have an easy time finding the yarn you need. It is a lovely environment
that for someone like me fills all of my senses. I can't be here and feel depressed or sad.
Wonderful classical music plays all day long, and many are the comments about the quality of music. It isn't
music to stimulate your buying, it is music to soothe your spirit.
We have a wonderful supply of needles - bamboo and Addi Turbo.
Fibers from cotton to wools. Patterns to meet all your needs and imaginations. With the help of customers and
staff we have (according to our customers) one of the best display of samples to help you make decisions.
During the summer and fall we have
Open Knitting on Tuesdays & Thursdays when there is staff who are here to help you with any problem you have. Join
us and share in the fun day with friendship and fellowship as women gather around tables to share in their lives, and be
an encouragement to one another.
This year 2009 we are devoting the south side of the building to THE CLASSROOM. This is where
our knitting & crocheting, needle felting, rug hooking, etc will take place. But it is also where we will be having
classes in:
Writing Your Life History
Anthropology of Religions
Mini Course in Linguistics
What Do You Know About God?
What Do
You Know About the Bible?
These courses will
be taught mostly by Tom Correll who is a Professor Emeritus from Bethel University & Seminary in St. Paul.
Also by Joan (me) who has co-taught with Tom in the Life History Method.
Both Tom & Joan
have been trained by the Summer Institute of Linguistics and base their past experience on living with the Inuit in northern
Canada, and Tom's extensive work on the Inuit language.
Please call 7150-798-5004 if any of these courses sound like something you might be interested in. There will
be a fee attached, and some of these course will run a whole quarter.
We will also draw from other experts in the area.
We are located on Hwy. #63 16 miles north of Hayward, Wisconsin. Cable has become a destination.
There are wonderful shops and places to eat.
We look forward to seeing you in our store.
Joan
